You. So restarting topicals after a chemical peel procedure is really important in terms of timing and treatment outcome, especially for your skin of color patients. Typically, if it's a retinoid, I will wait a minimum of 72 hours post peel to restart azalaic acid and sunscreen and cosmeceuticals. I'm a little bit more open to starting those sooner if the patient would really like. Honestly, it's very treatment dependent depending on your depth of your peel and how the patient is reacting. A good rule of thumb is five to seven days as a blanket rule and then adjust accordingly for dependent on the ingredient subtype.
