How much time does your staff have to spend gaining patient access to medication for plaque psoriasis?

You. I feel so bad for my staff that I really do all the prior authorizations myself. That's not even remotely true. I don't do any of them, but it is true that I feel bad for them because they spend a lot of time on pas, more so for biologic injectables and for the newer non steroidal topicals, and not just time spent. There's a lot of back and forth, and so there's multiple points of contact, even for one prescription for one patient, and that gets frustrating. And I do feel bad for them, and I think it's part of running a successful practice to help create a pleasant work environment. And in that case, I think it's important to consider the ways to minimize that type of busy work, obviously without compromising patient outcomes. In fact, I'll go a step further and say that I think actively limiting that type of work for your staff improves patient satisfaction during the office visit, and that in turn can improve patient compliance and patient outcomes as well. Framing that in terms of the two medications I've been talking about that I use frequently in my office, empoise and Serenebo. For these two, the prior authorization process is remarkably simple, and that adds to my desire to use them.
