In this session, Ted Rosen, MD discusses several uncommon yet severe conditions that clinicians should be particularly vigilant of. He starts by presenting a clinical case of amelanotic melanoma and then covers various clinical presentations and the importance of recognizing this deadly disease. He then transitions to a review of Fournier’s gangrene, which covers incidence, clinical presentation, and potential treatment options. He finishes this talk with a review of necrotizing fasciitis and further emphasizes the importance of recognizing these disease states which can be life threatening and may mimic other conditions.
