To conclude the morning’s review of high impact articles, James Q. Del Rosso, DO, delighted the audience with a look back at the past year for SKIN: The Journal of Cutaneous Medicine. SKIN is a peer-reviewed, open access, online-only journal dedicated to providing free access globally to dermatologic knowledge. In 2024, SKIN reached 1 million reads since its founding in 2017. Popular articles of 2024 included a systematic review of allergens causing contact dermatitis in cosmetic products, an in-depth review of the off-label uses of upadacitinib, and a review of iron deficiency anemia pruritus. Dr Del Rosso concluded this session with teaser for the newest educational offering from the National Society for Cutaneous Medicine—Tea with Dr. D, a new vodcast from the Derms and Conditions podcast team.
