Five Things to Know About Periprocedural Remibrutinib Use

About this video

For patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) receiving remibrutinib, an upcoming procedure raises a practical question: what happens to bleeding risk if treatment continues? Nicholas Brownstone, MD, walks through a post hoc analysis of the phase 3 REMIX-1 and REMIX-2 trials, examining surgical and invasive procedures across three bleeding-risk categories. Among 61 patients who underwent a procedure while receiving remibrutinib during the study period, most continued treatment without interruption, and four experienced bleeding events. Dr Brownstone breaks down the study design, how bleeding events were assessed, and the findings clinicians should know, including the limitations of a relatively small, nonrandomized analysis.
