How do you determine if a patient is a better candidate for topical treatment vs. an oral or biologic?

Psoriasis

You in psoriasis, we have so many treatment options. There's topicals, there's orals, there's biologics. Some are from mild to moderate. Some are moderate to severe. Some are the whole spectrum. It really gets very confusing. And so one of the first things I always say is, go back to the patient, lay out your options, and really try to understand what's going to work best for the patient to adhere to and follow through. Then there's a number of other ancillary factors in terms of how all these medications were studied, in terms of severity, in terms of body surface area, in terms of how long they need to be used, how often do they need to be used. And really, there isn't any one size fits all plan when it comes to psoriasis patients. So you really need to incorporate each of these things when making that therapeutic selection and.
