You. Polylactic acid and botox and hyaluronic acid fillers are amazing products that we have the luxury to have in our toolbox. They do different things. However. Most patients need a combination of both the polylactic acid and filler. But as you know, the polylactic acid is more of a long term investment in the collagen of your skin. So you really don't get that immediate reward that we do get with replacing the volume from the filler. I typically like to start with the polylactic acid, first, erate a couple of months, and then address what is left and what other areas still need volume replacement. But I do remind patients that this is not an immediate thing, really. It's a long term investment that will help their skin build their own collagen and give them ultimately the most youthful result.
