Is it difficult to get access to topical ruxolitinib cream for patients through their insurance plans?

When we think about evaluating a new therapy, something like topical ruxolitinib cream, we talk about efficacy, safety, if patient preference, if they like the formulation, local tolerability reactions. But in modern times, access is a consideration as far as evaluating the effect of a drug, because the patient has to be able to get access to it, and we face more roadblocks to that than we did even three to five years ago. So with topical ruxalitnib, the company does have available access systems that specialty pharmacies that you know in your area and you can use and have a relationship with will often make that access a lot easier. So I would encourage you to do that if you're not doing that already. Also, as far as the major plans where the company has negotiated greater access with, and there are some new major ones that are on the list, I would suggest you talk with your local representative and get updated information, because access is critical. We can have a great drug, but if the patient can't get access to it, obviously they're not going to get better. But systems, and it's important to learn them, and they help us get through the maze of this in our practices. Thank.
